Time to clean out your basement and garage and get rid of old cans or stain, cleaners, gasoline and pesticides the right way.
The North Oakland Household Hazardous Waste Consortium (NO HAZ) is holding the first collection of the year this Saturday at the Silverdome South Auxiliary Parking Lot in Pontiac from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
New to the program this year is the collection of used motor oil, up to 25 gallons per vehicle will be accepted.
Residents of NO HAZ communities, which includes Orion and Oakland Townships, do not have to register or make an appointment. The program is a free service for residents of member communities.
The lot is located at 175 North Opdyke Road, south of M-59.
