The Lake Orion Village Council has appointed Natalie Daversa as an alternate member for the Board of Zoning Appeals. The BZA has been without an alternate member for the past two years and needs an alternate because they have had the bare minimum of members attending the past two meetings.
Daversa will serve as alternate member for a three-year term that ends July 1, 2010.
On Monday, the council also approved the resignation from the Downtown Development Authority Board of Brad Jacobson. His resignation is due to a previous ruling from the Michigan Attorney General stating that it is inappropriate for a County Commissioner to serve on a DDA Board.
According to Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel, during his tenure on the DDA, Jacobsen was an active committee member and participant in DDA and Main Street events and he will be missed.
