OOSL has lots to offer the community

The Orion/Oxford Soccer League (OOSL) has served the residents of the Lake Orion area for thirty years, providing a fun recreational soccer program for children 3-14 years of age.
For those players looking for more competitive play, there is also a Premier Travel Program called Lake Orion Brandon Oxford Select (LOBOS).
This past spring, OOSL introduced a U4 division. This age division is for children who had turned three by last July. The volunteer coaches did a fabulous job teaching these young children the concept of soccer.
After eight weeks of training and games, the players were doing a great job getting the ball up the field. There were four teams formed (32 players) for the spring season.
Registration for the fall 2007 season is ongoing for all age groups. This past spring, OOSL had 84 teams that competed each Saturday morning.
If your child is interested in playing this fall, please visit the OOSL website at www.ooslsoccer.org to print a registration form. Completed forms can be returned to P.O. Box 263, Lake Orion, MI 48361.
The fall season dates are Sept. 8-Oct. 27 (eight weeks).
Since the U4 division is still new, there has been some difficulty getting information out to the community. If you have a child born Aug. 1, 2003-July 31, 2004 that is interested in learning to play the game of soccer, please print out a registration form and send it in. The league is willing to waive the $20 late fee (for this division only) through July 31.
Also available to any child in the community is the Soccer Skills Training Camp. This camp will be held July 23-27 at the Lake Orion High School varsity field (495 E. Scripps Road).
If you are interested in registering your child in this camp, please contact Steve Alliston at (248)693-4474 or e-mail salliston@aol.com. The cost of the camp is $99.
Don’t miss out on these fun and instructional soccer programs for your child. OOSL looks forward to their continued service to the community.
