City Council votes are in

Incumbent Jim Brueck came out on top Clarkston’s uncontested City Council election Tuesday, with 118 votes.
Cory Johnston, also an incumbent councilman, pulled in 97 votes, while newcomer Peggy Roth received 94.
Dan Colombo, who served 10 years on the council, announced in September he would not seek reelection.
City Manager Art Pappas provided vote totals after the polls closed, and said 134 residents turned out to cast a ballot.
The city also received more than 50 absentee ballots leading up to the election.
“It wasn’t a bad turn out for a council election,” said Pappas, , who also serves as Clarkston’s clerk and treasurer. “Especially when it’s unopposed.”
Brueck and Johnston are both entering second terms on council. All three candidates elected Tuesday will serve two-year terms.
