Goodrich – It will be an evening to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas in a hometown atmosphere.
The 12th annual Goodrich Downtown Christmas, sponsored by the Goodrich-Atlas Chamber of Commerce, will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.on Dec. 6.
Christmas lights, crafters and street vendors will line the downtown streets of Goodrich and Santa Claus will be roaming.
Most businesses downtown will be celebrating the event by inviting everyone into their stores for a Christmas open house.
Entertainer Duffy Connolly will sing and jam on a keyboard at Cranberries Cafe. ‘Last year he dressed up like the Grinch,? said Chamber President and Chairman for the event, Patricia Plant. ‘I don’t know who he is going to dress up as this year.?
Plant said there will be lots to eat. Cranberries Chef Mitch will provide soup on the street in breadbowls. There will also be kettlecorn and lots of hot chocolate to warm the hearts and tummies of all participants.
The Goodrich Fire Department will create a bonfire at the Village Commons Park.and the Goodrich High School Band will also be there to play Christmas carols.
