The Lake Orion wrestling team saw 12 of their 14 wrestlers qualify for individual regionals last Saturday at Rochester, just three days after the team qualified as well.
In team districts, the Dragons topped rival Rochester Adams 45-21 and Rochester 49-15 to advance to regionals.
LOHS hosts that event today, with the Dragons taking on Utica Ford (a team they’ve both lost to and beaten this season) in one dual, and Anchor Bay and Romeo hooking up in the other.
Action begins at 4:30 p.m. Look for a recap at www.lakeorionreview.com.
Individual regional champions included A.J. Pratt (135), Jeremy Peshl (140), Jake Varilek (152), Evan Gros (189) and Layne Upcott (215).
Jake Pratt (112), Joe Graffeo (160) and Morgan Maciejewski (171) all placed second, while Doug Mack (119), Justin Ruddy (130) and A.J. Fligger (140) took third place finishes and Bobby Harr (171) finished fourth.
Individual regionals will be held this weekend at Utica Ford, with the top four placers advancing to the state level at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
