Youth leadership
An eight-week program in the fundamentals of oral communication and leadership is being planned for young people in the Ortonville area. ‘Youth Leadership? will be presented at no charge by members of Grand Blanc Area Toastmasters Club #6188 at 10 a.m., today at Wojo’s Greenhouse, 2570 Oakwood Road. It is open to all young people 10-18 years of age at no cost.

Prom boutique
Hope Closet Prom Boutique, a non-profit organization, collects gently used prom dresses and accessories for girls who otherwise would not be able to attend prom. Donations of clean and undamaged items will be accepted during regular Brandon Township Library hours until Feb. 29.

‘Walk With Me? fund
The Goodrich varsity hockey team’s final regular season game will be at 5:45 p.m. today at the Polar Palace, Lapeer. The cost is $5 per person with 100 percent of the gate money donated to the Hansel family ‘Walk With Me? fund. Additionally, the 50/50 drawing with the 50 percent that typically goes toward hockey expenses, will go to the Hansel Family.
The Hillcrest Farms subdivision has also donated to the Hansel family.

Linedance
Evening linedance lessons from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday evening at the Edna Burton Senior Center, 345 Ball St., Ortonville. Open to all ages. Details: (248) 627-6678.
