To the many friends of Larry Roberts:
Though my heart is breaking, I am filled with gratitude for the 46 years I had with Larry, and I am grateful too, for all the friends who came and wept with us over this most painful loss. So many of you were with Larry and I throughout his long and valiant struggle with cancer. I will forever hold dear the comfort of your presence, the generosity of your heart, and the stories you shared of your own relationship with Larry’all was balm for our aching hearts. Larry loved his job, he loved his community. He shared his life with us. How lucky we all are. Thank you for being there, for being Larry’s friend, and mine, as we came together in our common sorrow.
