Blackhawk swimmers third in league championships

The Brandon Blackhawks swim team took third place at the Flint Metro League Swimming Championships Feb. 23. The preliminaries were Feb. 22. The competing teams included Holly High School, Fenton High School, Brandon High School, Swartz Creek and Lapeer.
The Brandon High School Blackhawks featured two league champions; senior Aaron Hussong took a first place in the 100 yard Butterfly with a school record time of 1:01.53, and senior Tim Hurst defended his league title with a first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a winning time of 1:09.19. Blackhawk Tyler Gorney placed fourth with a time of 1:11:06 in the Breaststroke.
