DePalma to seek re-election
Groveland Twp.-Township Supervisor Robert DePalma said he’ll seek a fourth term of office in the November general election.
DePalma, 60, was appointed to office in May 1996 following the death of long-time Township Supervisor Don Titsworth. DePalma was first elected in November 1996.

Zelenak OK’d
Former Ortonville Village Manager Paul Zelenak will start as the new Lake Orion village manager on April 9.
The village council OK’d a contract agreement with Zelenak during their meeting on Monday night.
The Springfield Township resident, and current director of community development in Garden City, signed the agreement last week.
Zelenak will be paid a starting annual salary of $65,000, which is a $10,000 pay cut from his current job. That salary, according to the council, will first be up for a raise in late June of 2009.

Burke Fundraiser
A benefit and silent auction for the Burke family is planned for 4 p.m., March 16 at Bullfrogs Restaurant, 2225 Ortonville Road.
All of the proceeds will go to the family of Dan Burke, a 25-year-old Goodrich man who recently underwent brain surgery. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door. Call Ali Reickel, 810-636-2550.
