A 10-year-old Clear Lake Elementary student is facing disciplinary action after school officials discovered he penned a ‘hit? list.
According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Detective Kevin McNally, the six-name list included six classmates with the words ‘kill list? written on top.
The list was in a note pad. McNally said the student, who lives in Oxford Township with his biological father and grandparents, had a verbal altercation with other students during gym class on April 16.
Afterwards, the 10-year-old’s note pad was discovered by a classmate.
‘It went from the student, to teacher to administrator to the sheriff’s department,? McNally said. ‘The next day we spoke to the parent. There are no weapons in the home.?
McNally said Child Protective Services and the county’s Juvenile Probate Court were contacted concerning the case.
