The Michigan Hawks Softball Team, made up of girls from the Brandon area, made a solid showing at the Millington Softball Tournament on July 11 through 13. The Hawks sent a 10 and under, 12 and under and two 14 and under teams to the tournament. Both the 12 and under team and one of the 14 and under teams took second place in their respective age groups. The 12 and under team defeated Elba, Sault Ste. Marie’s Sault Legacies and the Grand Blanc Fastpitch teams to get their title. The 14 and under team defeated Pinconning 12-1 and Alpena 14-2. Tryouts for next year’s Michigan Hawks Softball Teams will take place in August.
