Lake Orion’s Cameron Beeler has qualified to play in the 30th edition of the Michigan Junior State Amateur, to be played July 28-30 at Forest Akers West on the campus of Michigan State University.
Beeler, who made the second team All-County as a junior at LOHS in the spring, shot a 75 at the qualifying event at Fieldstone in Auburn Hills last month, good for sole possession of fourth place.
The Michigan Junior State Amateur is a 54-hole event and features some of the best high school golfers in the state, age 18 and under. There were six qualifying events held across the state.
