With the 2008 Summer Olympics in full swing across the globe in China, kids and parents from around the Clarkston area gathered at Deer Lake Beach last week for some fun and games of their own.
The event, sponsored by Independence Township Parks and Recreation, featured contests, prizes, and even a torch-lighting.
