Martian QB up to the challenge

Goodrich- When GHS junior quarterback Joe Boisture leads the Martians football team onto the field, more than fans will be watching.
Before the lanky 6-foot-5 inch Boisture took the first snap, four Division I colleges had expressed interests in his quarterback abilities.
‘I have talked to Purdue University coaches, and right now I think that is the school that I have the most interest in,? he said. ‘I feel more excited right now. Everyone gets nervous a little, but I think it’s more of a mixture of being nervous and excited.?
In addition to Purdue University, Boisture has also received letters from Colorado University, Western Michigan University, and Indiana University.
Following a season-ending elbow injury, Boisture said he’s ready for his first shot at the varsity team’hoping to improve on a rather dismal 3-6 season.
‘I think we’ll be really good,? said Boisture. ? We have a lot of people coming back and a lot of returning seniors.?
Leading the way with Boisture are team co-captains Adam Kauer and Jake Winston.
‘I think our strength would be a lot of the senior leadership, along with the attitude of being sick of losing. There are only about 26 people on our team, which could be looked at as a weakness or a strength.?
