Brandon Township Public Library’s teen department thanks the following businesses for their support of the 2008 Teen Summer Reading Program: Friends of Brandon Library (FOL), A&W, Frosty Boy, CC’s Cyber Cafe, Oxford 7 Theater, Rider’s Hobby Shop, and Gamers Sanctuary. Without the support of our area businesses and FOL, the summer reading program would not be as successful as it has been. I personally challenged area teens to have 75 teens sign up and read a cumulative total of 1,000 hours. Although only 52 teens signed up, 30 returned reading logs with a combined total of 2,469 hours and 38 minutes read. They definitely rose to the occasion, doing more with less, to meet the challenge. Because I lost the challenge, I’m now sporting a spiked fuchsia hair style.
Again, thank you to those who have supported the Teen Summer Reading Program.
