Dear Editor,
I am writing to applaud Paul Amman for putting his hat into the ring as the ‘Write-in candidate? for Atlas Township supervisor (‘Write-ins stir in township races,? The Citizen, Sept. 13, page 1).
I believe if the residents were aware of all the accomplishments that he has done for the residents of Atlas Township and the Village of Goodrich you will agree with me that we must reelect him to office.
Let me begin by saying that Mr. Amman has worked very hard with the Goodrich Schools to provide access to the middle school building site during the entire construction. Paul Amman was instrumental in the installation of the traffic control device at Gale and Hegel roads. Paul Amman was also instrumental in the sewer franchise agreement negotiated between the village/school and drain commission. He has worked hard advocating to get teen drivers additional training by local police because of the high accident rates. Goodrich High School students have a golden opportunity to serve on the township planning and zoning boards in the ‘Leaders of Tomorrow? program. Also, with Paul Amman’s strong support for the entire community, he allows students to work at the township in the summer.
I hope by me just giving you some insight of the many accomplishments and work that Paul Amman has done for the Village of Goodrich residents, you will vote for him as the candidate of choice on Nov. 4. I believe by keeping him in as our township supervisor, you can rest assured that our community will be maintained for what it is. The rural community that we all hope can be there for our children and their children to come.
