Oakland County Sheriff’s Office offers free document shredding, 9-10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 29.
Absolute Shreds -Mobile Shredding Service will set up in the parking lot, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Bldg. 38E, in Pontiac.
Residents of Oakland County may bring their confidential, personal documents to be shreded on-sitem using Absolute Shreds state-of-the-art, high volume shredding truck. This is not intended for business use.
Limit documents to three or four boxes. The following materials can be destroyed: paper, white or colored, file folders, staples and paper clips, plastic ID cards, empty prescription bottles, disk drives, carbon paper, CDs, microfilm, and microfiche.
Hazardous material, syringes or needles, or any heavy metal objects such as nuts, both, or metal plates, may not be destroyed.
