Councilman David Churchill resigned from two positions at the Nov. 4 village council meeting.
He will no longer be president pro-tem of the council or serve on the Orion Community Cable Communications Commission (OCCC).
Councilman Ken Van Portfliet will fill both positions.
Churchill recently took a job with AT&T, which is a conflict of interest with his position on the cable commission.
He said he is uncertain of his work hours, which will include ‘on call? hours, and his reliability in both positions may be affected.
‘Unfortunately employment situations change,? he said. ‘I would like to thank the councilmembers for their past consideration and confidence in me, as I regret the decision I am forced to make.?
He then went on to express well-wishes for Van Portfliet.
‘Good luck to you, Ken,? he said. Churchill steps down as president pro-tem
