Are you tired of your drab home or office? Do you want to spice things up? Add a little splash of color? Get some new furniture? Then you’d better call Dianne S. Offer at Interiors Unlimited.
For about 19 years Interiors Unlimited and owner Offer have been redesigning residential and commercial spaces to suit clients? tastes, styles, decor, and functional needs. ‘In the end, it should look like your home or office when I’m done,? Offer said. ‘The worst thing someone can tell me is that a room looks like I did it. I tailor things to the individual’s style and taste. I get inside their brain and turn their visions into realities.?
Offer said she can do every type of decor from ‘rustic to 18th century to contemporary and everything in between.?
Offer has been in the interior design business for 28 years and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She’s also a licensed builder and has experience working in a lumber yard (her parents owned Oxford Lumber).
‘My background offers me a different perspective than most designers,? she said. ‘I work with all the different trades ? plumbers, electricians, wallpaper installers, painters, carpenters, builders, etc.? so I know how to talk to them, what to look for, and who does the best work. I also have the ability to pull permits as both an interior designer and a licensed builder.?
Interiors Unlimited offers a wide range of decorating products including flooring, carpet, tile, wood flooring, drapery, wall-covering, paints, furniture, window treatments, accessories, pictures, silk flower arrangements, area rugs and much more.
‘We have access to 100s of supply companies based in places like Chicago and New York,? she said. ‘If a client wants to see something, like a chair, before they buy it, I’ll take them down to the Michigan Design Center in Troy. It’s a giant showroom which features items from many of the companies I order from.?
‘From the smallest item like a lamp to redesigning a whole room or house, I can order anything they need,? Offer added.
Over the past year two new product lines have been added including J.M. Pacquet (a French-style upholstery line that uses goose down) and Kessler metal bar stools. Of the J.M. Pacquet line, Offer said, ‘It’s just wonderful. It utilizes a mixture of eight different fabrics. I’m excited about it. Samples are available here.?
Interiors Unlimited also offers upholstery from Ashley Manor, Kravet Furniture and Fairfield, wood casing from Lorts and Maine Cottage, and rugs from Robert Allen, Masland and Davis and Davis.
Offer said Interiors Unlimited handles all jobs from low budget to high end, from small to large.
‘I’m willing to do the little jobs,? she said. ‘Sometimes just a coat of paint makes all the difference in the world. You don’t have to be rich to live or work in a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing environment.?
Depending on the size of the job, Offer sometimes handles 50 clients at a time but that doesn’t stop her from devoting the full amount of time and energy required to satisfy each client.
‘I’m available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,? she said. ‘I give clients that personal touch. I listen to what they want. It’s 90 percent psychology. I get inside their heads.?
Offer not only handles clients in the Oxford/Orion area, she’s also handled clients in Georgia, Illinois, and even Hawaii.
Interiors Unlimited is located 30 N. Mill St. in Oxford Village. The office is open by appointment only.
