Lakeville Inn to honor Kalloway’s cards

Good news for all those folks still holding on to Kalloway’s gift cards sold in 2008. If all goes well, the Lakeville Inn will soon be accepting them at their full value.
That’s right, starting in seven days or less, customers should be able to apply every last penny of their card’s value toward any purchase at the Addison Twp. restaurant located at the intersection of Lakeville and Rochester roads.
‘That is our intent,? said Mark Smith, who’s co-owned the Lakeville Inn with his dad, Lawrence, since April 2004.
Smith and Gary Lepak, owner of the now-closed Kalloway’s Restaurant and Pub, have been working out the details and are close to finalizing plans.
Lepak’s trying to obtain a printed report detailing each card’s value.
‘I need a concise report of the balance on each card number and an easy way to identify that for my staff,? Smith said. ‘Provided we can get that, we have plans to honor 100 percent of the card’s value.?
Smith approached Lepak about doing this as a way ‘to reach out to the community? and help a ‘fellow, independent business owner in difficult times.?
It’s also good advertising for the Lakeville Inn. ‘For me, it’s part of a marketing strategy,? Smith said. ‘There may be people that have those cards that don’t know of my restaurant. I’m a little bit off the beaten path.?
