The American Business Association Greater Oakland Charter Chapter of Clarkston named Mary Smith as its 2009 Woman of the Year.
Smith has been a member of the chapter since August, 2007. She serves on the board as secretary and is the chapter’s publicity chairperson.
Smith is a stylist at Creekside Salon in Clarkston. She has been a stylist in the community for more than 25 years.
She earned an Associate of Applied Science degree at Oakland Community College with a concentration in Interior Design . She plans to further her education in the fall at Wayne State University.
She joined the association after receiving an educational scholarship given by the chapter.
She is married to Brian and has two children, Nicole and Lyndsay. She was honored, April 18, at Wallis Supper Club in Burton.
