Michael Saint of Good Earth Landscape Institute hosts a garden tour, 3-5 p.m., Saturday, July 18, at 6126 Snow Apple Drive, Independence Township.
Proceeds will benefit Clarkston’s Lighthouse Emergency Services and the Master Gardeners? Program of Oakland County. The tour is by reservation.
The gardens feature a mixture of country and cottage themes with a naturalist approach. Visitors will enjoy beautiful statuaries, a variety of garden rooms, performance by local pianist Rich Haines, light refreshments, and door prizes.
The gardens are certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Saint has been a guest on National Public Radio’s Detroit Today and a guest lecturer for Smith & Hawkins. He conducts lectures throughout the state on various horticultural topics and regularly teaches classes through the Community House in Birmingham and Michigan and Waterford Township’s Community Adult Education.
