Basket weaving
From 1-3 p.m. Nov. 9 there will be a basket weaving class. The cost is $5 for both sessions.
Support group
From 3-4 p.m., on the second Tuesday of each month beginning Nov. 10, there will be a support group for caregivers, diabetics, those with a family member who has Alzheimer’s, and those who have lost a loved one. You will learn to cope and gain strength to handle these challenges with the support of the group.
Acrylic Painting
From 1-3 p.m. on Nov. 16, artist Steve Wood will teach a ‘water under the bridge? themed acrylic painting class. The cost is $20 and includes all supplies. Just bring some paper towels, a plastic plate to mix the paint and a water container to wash your brush.
Retirement roadmap
At 10:30 a.m., on Nov. 17, investment advisors from Financial Alliance will conduct a workshop that will identify different stages of retirement and common mistakes people make when it comes to spending assets in retirement. They will discuss various ways to protect what you have accumulated and plan for the rest of your retirement.
New Release Movie
At 10 a.m., on Nov. 20 there will be a free viewing of ‘Religulous.? Senior Yoga classes
From 1-2 p.m. on Mondays, senior yoga will be taught. The cost is $5 per session. Please bring an exercise mat and either a scarf, belt, or men’s tie to class.
Body Ex
At 1 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Ortonville Town Hall, there will be an hour of exercise emphasizing body movement. The $1 collected at the door is donated to OCEF.
Variety card games
At 7 p.m. on Mondays, there will be euchre. On 7 p.m., on Saturdays, there will be pinochle.
Hammered Dulcimer
At 10 a.m. on Thursdays, there will be weekly one-hour lessons on playing the hammered dulcimer. The cost is $15 per person. Music knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.
Folk instrument players
From 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., on Thursdays, there will be a group to play folk instruments. Drop-ins are welcome.
Line dance classes
At 1 p.m., every Friday there will be line dancing to exercise and improve memory. The cost is $2 per class and it’s open to all ages.
