Hometown heroes: On holiday duty

PFC Michael Swan
PFC Michael Swan, 20, a 2007 Goodrich High School graduate, is currently serving in the U.S. Army as a medic. He received his medic training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is stationed in Fort Stewart, Ga. and is currently serving a one-year deployment in Kirkuk, Iraq.
Swan is the son of Jeff and Janet Swan of Goodrich and brother of Mitch and Max. He also has a fiancee, Michaela, who lives in South Carolina. ‘We miss him very much and are so proud of him for serving our country,? says mom Janet.
