Tyler Cole graduated from the University of Michigan Honors College in Ann Arbor on Dec. 20. He received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology with a 4.0 GPA. Taylor also received the Certificate of Research Excellence Award from the Student Biomedical Research Program at the University of Michigan Medical School. The 2006 Brandon High School graduate is continuing his research at U of M and will attend medical school in the fall. He is the son of Tom and Kathy Cole of Brandon Township.

Tyler Cole
Tyler Cole of Ortonville has been selected by the University of Michigan to receive the designation of University Honors and James B. Angell Scholar during the honors convocation March 16 in Ann Arbor. University Honors recognize students with superior scholastic achievement. The James B. Angell Scholar designation is awarded to students with a perfect scholarship record for three to six consecutive terms.
Tyler, a 2006 graduate of Brandon High School and OSMTech, is majoring in microbiology. He is the son of Thomas and Kathy Cole.

Andrew Huppertz
Andrew Huppertz recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Andrew is a 2003 graduate of Powers Catholic High School and the son of Thomas and Michele Huppertz of Ortonville. He has accepted a position with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. in San Diego, Calif.
Alexandra L. Miller
Alexandra L. Miller, of Ortonville, graduated from Northern Michigan University in December with a bachelor of science degree in management of health and fitness.

Kristin Palmgren
Kristin Palmgren received her master’s degree in secondary education from Oakland University in December.
Palmgren, a 1997 graduate of Brandon High School, received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a mathematics focus from Oakland University in 2005. She is currently a mathematics teacher at Brandon High School and is the daughter of Rick and Judy Palmgren of Groveland Township.

Stanczyk
Anna R. Stanczyk has been selected as one of 13 graduating seniors to be honored as a recipient of the University of Michigan-Flint Maize and Blue Distinguished Scholarship Award.
This award is the most prestigious award given by the university to graduating seniors and is established to honor students who combine both exemplary academic achievement and service to the university and the community.
Stanczyk, a 2003 Brandon High School graduate, graduates this month from U-M with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.
