Clarkston Community Schools discuss applicants for the district superintendent, Aug. 16.
Deadline for applications was Aug. 11. During the meeting they will narrow it down to six for first-round interviews.
“We should be prepared at that point to see who we want to interview,” said Stephen Hyer, board president.
The board will hold interviews Aug. 23-25. All meetings begin at 5 p.m. and are open to the public.
They are held at Clarkston Community Schools Administration Office, 6389 Clarkston Road.

Brandon Twp.-The school board announced on Monday that 20 resumes have been received from candidates for superintendent.
At a cost of $17,500 the board approved T.D. & Associates a Grand Rapids area-based firm to replace Bart Jenniches, who announced his exit after nine years last summer. A new superintendent should be in place by March 15, 2005. Jenniches? last day is July 1.
All the interviews will be open to the public and begin in February.
