Two area youth received honors recently from the Michigan Association of Speed Horses/Statewide Gymkhana Riders. Trisha Dommer of Goodrich was named Junior Reserve Champion. She has been riding since age 4 and comes from a family of horse riders and trainers.
This year she also won the Junior Champion at Southern Thumb Speeed Horse Assocation and many 4-H titles in Horses and Dog Obedience.
Kasha Cobb of Goodrich was named Junior Champion, she has been riding since age 3. When she started school her parents would go down to the bus stop ten minutes before she arrived with her pony and tie it up for her to ride home.
She has earned numerous Genesee County 4-H titles.
