A 16-year-old male jogger Feb. 4 was struck by a vehicle on Lakeville Rd., east of State St., after he ran in front of it, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
A 15-year-old Oxford girl who was jogging with the victim told deputies she ran across the road first and the victim followed her.
The driver, a 34-year-old Oxford woman, was unable to stop in time. The impact broke the 2010 Chrysler minivan’s windshield.
The victim, who lives in Addison Township, was transported to POH Regional Medical Center. He was released with no broken bones and no memory of the incident, according to the report.
No citation was issued to the driver.
