Teachers learn about tree science

Clarkston fifth-grade science teachers learned about the forest as a teaching tool at the Project Learning Tree workshop, March 25, at the Lewis Wint Nature Center in Independence Oaks County Park.
The workshop was led by Ada Takacs of the Michigan DNR. Project Learning Tree is a national program founded in 1976 that uses the forest to teach students about the environment.
It was funded by Clarkston Farm and Garden Club.
