Dear Editor,
History books reveal that the emperor of Rome played his violin while the city burned down around him. We are doing the same thing with our country. Does anyone care any more about:
1. Anyone else?
2. Anything that happens next year?
3. Anything that happens 10 to 15 years from now (when they retire)?
4. Anything that happens 30 to 40 years in the future, which condemns their own children and grandchildren to living in government housing (read ? slums).
Have you seen how the people in other countries are living today? Watch Fox News. How can we (today’s adults) be so ignorant, careless, selfish and greedy?
What should be more important to us: A few more dollars in our own pockets now or a reasonably comfortable future for our kids?
Stop voting for people who promise more handouts (more worthless paper “Monopoly” money). Everything the government gives us they have to take away from us, either before they hand it out (taxes) or afterwards (inflation). Does anyone remember the last inflation? (17 percent!)
Write letters to Washington, DC! The next round of higher costs (inflation) will be much worse and it has already started (gasoline and food prices).
