The building includes four drive-up areas that have extended hours, as well as a drive-up ATM machine. Safe deposit boxes and a computer kiosk in the lobby are also planned.
Anyone who lives or works in the Lake Orion, Oxford, Addison Township and Oakland Township area is eligible to do business at Lakes Community Credit Union.

Lakes Community Credit Union is so excited about this New Year. We are settling in with the wonderful communities of Lake Orion and Oxford.
It has been three years since we made Lake Orion our main branch. We have been welcomed into the communities and are honored to assist our neighbors and friends with their financial needs.
It has been a year of growth at the Credit Union. Since opening our doors 68 years ago, our main goal has been to follow the Credit Union philosophy ‘People helping people.?
Credit Unions are ‘not for profit? cooperatives which means we are owned and run by our Membership. Each member of the Credit Union has a vote. Because we are a non-profit organization, we are able to return our earnings to our membership in the form of high return savings accounts and low rate loans.
We are a Hometown Credit Union. What that means to the Credit Union and its staff is that our Members come first.
Banks have really been pushing quality service with the hometown feel. That has been our philosophy for 68 years. It’s the way our Credit Union is run; for us it’s not just a catch phrase.
We work hard to provide quality service with state of the art technology. We are a full service Credit Union offering a variety of Mortgage and Home Equity programs, New and Used Auto Loans, signature loans, VISA, low or no fee checking accounts complete with ATM and DEBIT card services for qualified members as well as overdraft protection.
We offer 24-hour banking opportunities with our audio and internet services provided at no charge to our membership. We are always adding new services and programs to offer our membership.
Lakes Community Credit Union also offers several savings programs to meet your needs. We have Christmas and Vacation Clubs, Money Market, Certificates of Deposits and IRA accounts.
We are also very proactive when it comes to the financial education of our Youth. We offer the Bill Bucks Stow Away Savers Club for kids 0-12.
And we also have a complete Youth Loan program. We are currently working on financial education assemblies to present to the local Middle and High Schools and are happy to make presentations to elementary schools if requested.
We are pleased to announce that within the next month Lakes Community Credit Union will be able to be affiliated with Co-Op Network as well as our current affiliation with Credit Union Alliance. These affiliations allow our membership to use almost any Credit Union ATM machine with no fee.
On the community front, we have our ‘Learning Creates Community Understanding? mini-grant program. We award four educators (two from Lake Orion and two from Oxford Schools) with $250 each to fund a project or program that would not normally be covered under their school budget.
We are hosting our first golf outing to fund a scholarship program in August at Devil’s Ridge Golf Course.
