The Goodrich varsity football team sponsored a ‘Pink Jersey? game to raise awareness in the community for cancer on Sept.16. ‘Martian Pink Pride? shirts were available in honor of the game and at least 500 shirts had been sold, totaling $7,500. Team jerseys were also available for the community to bid to have a friend or loved one’s name put on for the varsity players to wear during the game.The game was also in honor of Al Martus, Goodrich’s former athletic director who died of cancer earlier this year.
