The Lake Orion Village Parks and Recreation Committee has been asked by the village council to present a policy for use of the gazebo in Children’s Park.
The council was presented with the option of directing administration to handle requests at the May 12 meeting, much like they do with other village facilities that do not require closure of any village streets.
The council was concerned that people looking to use the gazebo would have the impression that Children’s Park could be closed during those hours. Village manager JoAnn Van Tassel said the park would never be closed for an event in the gazebo
