The General Federation of Womans Club, Lake Orion Chapter, took some time at their May meeting to recognize the achievements of some of their members.
The club gave Women of Achievement Awards to Delores Telisky and Phyllis Westcott. The award recognizes GFWC MI clubwomen whose achievements are an example for the young women of today.
The club also presented their Women of the Year honor to Barb Geppert, who was voted as Women of the Year by the Lake Orion club members. Sharon Collins was chosen as Mrs. Federation, a state award.
Club members were also addressed by Linda Clark, First Vice President of Michigan GFWC, who will become president in one year.
