The North Oakland Concert Band is presenting a program of classic jazz featuring its breakout group, the North Oakland Dixieland Band, on Saturday, Nov. 12. The event is being held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Waldon Road, starting at 6:15 p.m. The concert also will feature the duo, A Reasonable Facsimile, with a short program of lively music from the Renaissance Era. The Dixieland Band made its first appearance at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Wildwood Pavilion amphitheater in the Civic Center Park in OrionTownship and has performed at many local venues since then.
