Veterans from all of the branches of the U.S. military and appreciative members of the public attended the Nov. 11 Veteran’s Day evening service at the Orion Veterans Memorial. During the ceremony, it was noted more than 50 million Americans have served their country since 1776. The number of servicemen and women missing in action in each of the country’s conflicts also was announced and reflected upon during the event, as well as local veterans who have passed away over the past year.
