The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce honored area business owner and Orion Township Board Trustee Neal Porter on Dec. 1, naming him ‘Business Person of the Year.? As 200 people sat eating, Chamber President Bill Kokenos told the audience why Porter was important to Orion’s economy. ‘Neal has not only been a member for a number of years, but he is also so active in this community. He has been working for a ton of committees since their inception. There are so many things I am told as President and this is the guy I go to. He’s not really leaving. We know where he works. We are proud to name Neal Porter business person of the year in recognition of his contribution to the businesses in Lake Orion.? Porter owns Vette Products on Clarkston Road.
