Dear Editor,
We are so lucky have the Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a facility in our community, which made it possible for the family of Robert Wright, to participate in his care during his last year of life.
Our thanks and appreciation to the Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s Outstanding Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Nurses who cared for our dad, Robert,from October 2010 to September 3, 2011.?
We recognize the hands-on care that you provided is HARD WORK, both physically and emotionally, even more so when the patient is unable to see and not ambulatory.
Thank you for:
Your gentleness and respectfulness as you physically cared for him;?
– Your kindness to him during his shout outs, confusion and bursts of aggression;
– Your reassurances and comfort to him during the late evening hours when he just needed someone to talk to; and,
– Your professionalism and clear communication to the family as we advocated for our dad throughout his entire term of care.
The CNAs we would like to recognize are Dovana, Gigi, Kristie, Anita, Kenya, Amanda, Bonnie, Martin, Marie, Shani, Ashley, Jenni, Brian, Connie. Hopefully, I have not missed thanking any of you who supported and cared for our dad.?? The nurses we would like to recognize are Gina, Nickie, Jane, Megan, Michelle, Marion, Angela, Andrew.? Thank you also to McLaren Hospice team and Ann his hospice nurse.
The Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is lucky to attract such an outstanding group of hard working and caring Certified Nursing Assistants and Nurses. Thank you!
