Lake Orion’s competitive cheer team, pictured, rose to the occasion and placed third at the Brighton’s Best Invitational last Saturday, Jan. 14. A total of 28 teams from across the state competed in the event that featured plenty of high-flying twists, turns and other exciting tumbling moves – plus lots of smiles and cheering. On Jan. 28, the squad will be hosting the Lake Orion Invitational, one of the largest cheering competitions held annually in the statey. It will feature hundreds of middle-school through varsity teams from throughout Michigan and act as a preview for the seaon-ending district and regional competitions. Photo submitted
