The Clarkston Girls Bowling team took second place at the Oakland County Bowling Tournament on Saturday.
They lost a close game to Lake Orion, 379-373. On the road to the finals they beat Walled Lake Central, Oxford and Farmington Hills Mercy.
Stephanie Lavely finished in the top five for individuals with 641. Chelsea Turk finished in the top 30 with 548.
The boys varsity team qualified for their tournament on Sunday with a 3,441. They lost the first game against Walled Lake Central to finish the day.
Tyler Hancsak finished in the top 30 individuals with a 610.
The boys beat Troy Athens on Jan. 17, 27-3, to improve their record to 5-0.
Hanscak had games of 225 and 214 for high series of 439. Max Wolfgang with close with games of 219 and 216 for a 435 set. Kyle Kirby had the high game with a 256.
The girls also beat Troy Athens, 29-1, putting them 3-1-1. Lavely had the high game for the girls with a 221.
The boys JV team won 30-0, remaining undefeated. Anthony Hernandez had the high game with a 220 game.
The teams compete against Lake Orion next Monday at Collier Lanes in Oxford, 3:30 p.m.
