The Brandon High School Student Council will attempt to raise more than $20,000 during the week of Snowcoming Feb.6-10.This year’s charity week theme is ‘To Infinity and Beyond.?
Last year, the BHS Student Council ?10 in 5? charity fundraiser collected more than $15,000, which was donated to the ‘Believe In Miracles Foundation,? which provides support to children who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
The Business Professionals of America Club will assist by conducting a ‘Teens for Jeans? charity campaign during the same week and would like the community to donate any used jeans that are wearable. All jeans collected will be donated to the ‘DoSomething.org Foundation,? which has provided jeans to more than one-third of the homeless youth in our country in the last two years.
If you would like to donate to either of these causes and do not have contact with a BHS student, donations are accepted at the BHS main office.
