Atlas Twp.-On March 9, township firefighters along with Davison, Brandon and Grand Blanc Township fire personnel responded to a house fire in the 12000 block of Hegel Road. A nearby construction worker noticed smoke coming from the home and called 9-1-1. Township Fire Chief Fred Forys said the fire was in the attic of the structure. The home was unoccupied at the time and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
