When in the market for buying or selling a home, or just looking helpful real estate advice, look no further than RE/MAX Property Center.
Angela Batten and her team of seven agents are committed to offering more than the usual agent/client relationship. Many are from the area and support functions, teams and people in the community.
Batten herself grew up in Brandon so she has many personal ties here.
‘A lot of my family is here. It’s a community where I feel good and a place I can raise my children.?
She has been in the business for five years and at the Brandon location for three.
‘This year really put a damper on the economy and stock market, but we can help relieve the tension of this process,? said Batten. ‘Our agents have been busy. 2003 is really going to be a good year. The market seems to be picking back up.?
The agents at RE/MAX are full time Realtors, compared to others who are commissioned base.
‘Our agents have more training and experience. At our regional office in Southfield, they offer a program called Success University. This is for agents to pursue their education in real estate.?
RE/MAX is a huge support system for their clients and other causes are important to the team.
At Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak RE/MAX sponsors a program called Communication Station Pre-School. They provide scholarships to qualifying families who have children that are having difficulty in speech and language.
Communication Station is unique because it’s not just a room with a teacher. They have art, field trips, snacks, storytime and motortime, which increases a child’s body movement through activities such as climbing and walking.
‘These children have a chance to develop better before they go to school and risk ridicule by their peers. We donate about $80,000 a year.?
RE/MAX of Southeast Michigan also awarded 25 high school seniors with $1,000 towards their college futures. Students are to write an essay about the question, ‘What is the American dream to you and what role can higher education play in helping you achieve the American dream??
In addition to all Batten and her team do, their hot air balloon is a staple.
‘We use it for advertising and client events. It is associated with the Children’s Miracle network, which we donate much time and money to yearly.?
RE/MAX is worldwide, serving clients in 37 countries.
‘We want people in this community to think of us for all their real estate needs. Many offices think the more agents they have the better; we think of quality versus quantity here.?
A Web site Batten thinks is always helpful is www.manyhouses.com, which provides information for homeowners and agents.
