Exactly 75 years ago, Edwin Seelbinder was approached at church by a few men that were looking for an insurance agent to write for them. He agreed to join with the company, and shortly thereafter Seelbinder Insurance planted it’s feet.
Through hard work and determination, he made the association of insurance and his name go hand in hand with the community.
In 1963, Ed Seelbinder passed the reins to his son, Arnold Seelbinder and eventually to the hands of his son and current owner, Steve Seelbinder.
He has been in the business and an insurance agent for 21 years and is proud to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary.
‘We’re different from many companies because we are an independent insurance agency. This means we write for many different companies. Agencies like State Farm only go through one, so it puts a block on the customer finding the best thing for them,? said Seelbinder. ‘Our customers have the option of basically picking the service they want. We have great claim service and competitive rates.?
Seelbinder also feels the agency’s personal connection with their clients is unique.
‘We are always available here. If you have a question that we can’t answer, we will find it for you. We are exceptional in servicing our clients in any way that we can.?
Although the agency specializes in personal insurance, they also do commercial. He can handle all forms of insurance, including home, life and auto.
‘We are more than happy to shop around for our clients if they’re not happy with their current rate. It’s so much more efficient than to be fixed with one rate.?
In the upcoming year, he’s confident the agency will continue to grow and prosper, just as it has for 75 years.
‘I’ve lived here my whole life and enjoy how friendly everyone is. I followed in my family’s footsteps and I have no doubt that we’ll be a name in the community for many years to come.?
