Four hundred ladies of all ages descended on downtown Oxford for the third annual Girlfriends? Walk on June 20. Beginnining in Centennial Park, Walk participants received a shopping ‘Passport? for discounts at Chic Antiques, Beadifferent Boutiques, Ella Fashion, Pink & Charlie, Soothe Your Soul, Victoria’s Delights, and Sweet and Savory Bake Shop–all businesses owned by women.
Donations of professional clothes, shoes, handbags, and other career items were collected for the Center for Working Families at Lighthouse of Oakland County, an organization providing assistance to low-income families since 1972.
