M-15 count complete

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has removed their traffic counters from M-15 but is still compiling the information, according to MDOT Spokesperson Rob Morosi.
The counters were gathering information relating to traffic volumes and turning movements. Once the data is analyzed, MDOT will share a draft of their plans with the local government and discuss possibilities such as adding turn lanes or widening M-15, Morosi said.
During meetings with local officials, MDOT will consider elements the counters did not measure such as foot and bicycle traffic, which might require ‘sacrificing a paved shoulder,? Morosi said.
MDOT intends to have a draft of their project ready to share with the community around Labor Day.
