Sunny skies and crisp fall air greeted the?600-plus people who’participated in the second annual A Mother’s Wish 10K run and 5k walk/run last Saturday.? More than $23,000 was raised by the Lake Orion-based charity that’provides financial assistance to’local women with breast’cancer and their families.? Last year,?27 women’received funds’from’A Mother’s Wish.? Lake Orion’resident and Fox 2 health reporter Deena Centofanti’was the master of ceremonies at this year’s event.? Winners of the 10K race were Rick Straughen of Rochester?(men’s) and Liz Henderschott of Ortonville (women’s); 5K race winners were Parker Wheatley of Grand Blanc (men’s) and Emily Olsen of Troy (women’s).?
