The Lake Orion varsity boys ski team, along with three individual qualifying varsity girls, raced at Schuss and Shanty Creek resorts Monday, during the Division One State Ski Finals.
The boy’s team placed sixth overall, with Justin Pavliscak racing down the slalom courses fastest for the Dragons. He placed ninth in slalom.
Katie Tyrell placed 35th out of 69 racers with her combined time for the women’s slalom courses.
‘It was a well run meet by Schuss and Shanty Creek resorts,? Coach Derek Delzer said, commemorating his boy’s team finish. ‘My three girls that qualified as individuals also skied very well,? Delzer said.
Logan Stetsko came in 14th for boys slalom, Justin Klaus placed 21st, Jack Marcus placed 43rd, Brendan Mclean placed 55th and Andrew Brown placed 69th.
