Lake Orion’s varsity softball team clinched the OAA Red Division title in fine fashion.
The Dragons locked up the title in the first game of a doubleheader against Troy but then also went on to win the nightcap.
Sierra Gonzales pitched Lake Orion to the title in the first game by throwing a one-hitter in five innings as the Dragons won, 10-0.
Kayla Knoblock, Alexandra Carpenter and Kennedi Thomas led the Dragon’s hit attack.
The wins gave Lake Orion a 24-6 record on the year.
They are ranked second in Oakland County and sixth in the state.
